Alkagesta has linked its participation in the International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference (IPEC) 2026 in Zhoushan to the development of its China business and its petroleum products and biofuels trading activities. In an announcement on its website, the company said Bayram Bayramli, its China Business Developer, represented it at the event at the Zhoushan International Conference Center in Zhejiang Province.
According to Alkagesta, the annual conference draws oil, gas and bulk commodity businesses alongside port operators, bunker suppliers and trading houses. Participants come from Asia, the Middle East and Europe. The gathering therefore puts fuel suppliers and trading businesses in contact with companies operating port infrastructure, with business matchmaking among the activities included in its programme.
The event is organised under the auspices of the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Alkagesta described IPEC as the principal platform for promoting Zhoushan’s oil and gas industrial chain. Its programme combines senior-level forums and industry presentations with opportunities for business introductions and project signings; the company’s announcement did not identify a specific agreement arising from its participation.
Alkagesta highlighted Zhoushan’s growing bonded fuel supply base and initial steps into biofuel and methanol bunkering as relevant to its own operations. It connected those developments with the expansion of its Geneva biofuels desk and the involvement of its chartering function in the product tanker market. The commercial focus described in the announcement was petroleum products, biofuels and marine fuel supply.
The company said direct contact with Chinese refiners, storage operators and bunker suppliers helps it source marine fuel cargoes for East Asian ports. It also presented those relationships as supporting its position in a bunkering market that it characterised as among the fastest-growing worldwide.
