Alkagesta says it completed its first truck-to-vessel marine fuel delivery in Constanța, Romania, on 2 October 2026. Two trucks supplied a combined 50.164 metric tonnes of marine gasoil, according to the company’s announcement. The operation introduces truck-to-vessel delivery to its distribution capabilities in Romania, alongside its wider activities in Romanian and Black Sea energy markets.
The company presented the delivery as part of a broader expansion of its European energy business. It said Romania had become increasingly important to its regional petroleum products and biofuels operations during 2026. The Constanța announcement concerns a specific marine fuel supply operation, rather than a grain shipment or dry bulk charter, and places that delivery within the company’s wider distribution activity.
Elsewhere in Europe, Alkagesta reported securing access earlier in 2026 to the NATO Central Europe Pipeline System and beginning deliveries of Jet A1 aviation fuel. The company described aviation fuel supplies as being under acute pressure, with greater military use of the pipeline making civilian distribution more complex. It also reported its first crude oil transactions during the period, including delivery of approximately 1.07 million barrels to the Far East.
In biofuels, the company said it had agreed a multi-year storage arrangement at Pantank in Antwerp, together with a five-year offtake agreement for used cooking oil feedstock. Alkagesta characterised these agreements as strengthening its involvement across the European biofuels supply chain, alongside the petroleum products business highlighted in its Romanian announcement.
The company also reported that its Singapore hub reached monthly marine fuel trading volumes of approximately 250,000 metric tonnes during its first full year of operation. Separately, it said its fertiliser desk was operating amid significant supply chain disruption and food-security pressures affecting global agricultural markets. These activities formed the wider commercial context Alkagesta gave for its first Constanța truck-to-vessel delivery.
